Municipal Waste Management Report 2020
On February 15, the Greens Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth-Georgia organized an online meeting within the framework of the “Keep Georgia Tidyr” project, at which the “Municipal Waste Management Report 2020” was presented.
The report was prepared by the Greens Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth-Georgia and represents the monitoring of the implementation of the 5-year waste management plan of the generated waste by the municipalities in their respective territories.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Swedish government, embassies accredited in Georgia, partner organizations, governmental and non-governmental structures and municipalities. Also, Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and Khatuna Zaldastanishvili, Program Officer of the Swedish Embassy.
The project is implemented by the NGO consortium "Keep Georgia Tidy” (KGT), The Greens Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth Georgia, Georgian Society of Nature Explorers “Orchis , with financial support of the Government of Sweden and in collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, LEPL “Environmental Information and Education Centre”, Solid Waste Management Company.
