Clean up Action on the Adjacent Territory of Ilia Chavchavadze State Museum in Saguramo  In honour of the 180th anniversary of the birth of Ilia Chavchavadze a clean up action was carried out in the adjoining territory of Ilia Chavchavadze State Museum in Saguramo, organized by the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth-Georgia in the framework of "Clean Up Georgia" campaign. Representatives of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Administration and students from International School of Economics ISET took part in the action together with the organizers.

Training of Chemistry Laboratory Staff and Relevant Students of Telavi Municipality Public Schools  On October 27, 2017, EAWM conducted a training of chemistry laboratory staff and relevant students entitled “Registration, Safe Handling, Warehousing, Laboratory Usage, Utilization and Transportation of Chemical Substances and Waste in Educational Establishments" in Telavi. The training was held the framework of the “Clean Up Georgia – Phase III” Project.

Clean Up Action in Bolnisi Municipality  On October 25, on the initiative of the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth-Georgia, under the leadership of local coordinator in Bolnisi municipality a clean-up action was held in the framework of "Clean Up Georgia" campaign, in which participated pupils and teachers of N 2 and N 5 public schools of Bolnisi Municipality.
During the action, teachers and pupils cleaned up the public schools adjacent areas and Agmashenebeli street. About 25 pupils and 3 teachers took part in clean up activity, during which about 1 hectare area was cleaned up and 3.5 m3 of waste was collected.

Meeting with population of village Akhalsopeli in Senaki municipality  On October 19, within the framework of the project "Clean Up Georgia Phase III", a meeting was held with the residents of village Akhalsopeli in Senaki municipality, organized by local coordinator of the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth-Georgia.
The purpose of the meeting was to provide local people with information on implemented and planned activities within the framework of the project, as well as the waste management situation in Georgia, international obligations and foreign experience in the field of waste management. Participants of the meeting noted, that the waste is regularly removed from the village, although there are few waste containers. There were also expressed concerns over existing illegal landfill. The meeting was attended by 11 local residents.

Meeting with population of village Chaladidi in Senaki municipality  On October 19, within the framework of the project "Clean Up Georgia Phase III" a meeting was held with the residents of village Upper Chaladidi in Senaki municipality, organized by local coordinator of the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth-Georgia.
The purpose of the meeting was to provide local people with information on implemented and planned activities within the framework of the project, as well as the waste management situation in Georgia, international obligations and foreign experience in the field of waste management. At the meeting, representatives expressed their proposals. The population wishes to install biogas and solar power equipment in the village, improve the quality of drinking water and build a new water pipeline. The problem is still related to the removal of waste from the village due to a poor road condition, due to which the garbage truck can not get into the village. Also was mentioned the frequent contamination of the river Rioni with plastic bottles. Local residents expressed their readiness to implement the composting methodology. The meeting was attended by 22 local residents.

Clean Up Actions in Kakheti Region
In the framework of "Clean Up the World" International Clean up Campaign the large-scale cleanup actions were carried out in Kakheti region in cooperation with local authorities, organized by the local coordinator of the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth - Georgia.
Gurjaani
On September 15, a clean-up event was held by the representatives of Gamgeoba of Gurjaani municipality , Sakrebulo, N (N) LE and local volunteers. During the action, the Memorial of Glory and its surroundings was cleared up. In the villages of Gurjaani municipality, the central districts of the villages were cleaned up. More than 400 people took part in the action. About 3 hectares area was cleaned up and 9 m3 of waste was collected.

Clean Up Actions in Adjara In the framework of "Clean Up the World" International Clean up Campaign the large-scale cleanup actions were carried out in Adjara in cooperation with local authorities, organized by the local coordinator of the Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth - Georgia.
Batumi
On September 16, organizers and volunteers (80 people) cleaned up the area of confluence of the Bartskhana River with the Black Sea . About 5 hectares of land was cleaned up and 4 m3 of waste was collected.

Clean Up Action in Mtskheta On September 15-16, in the framework of “Clean Up the World” campaign the clean up actions were organized in Mtskheta and the villages of Mtskheta municipality (Mukhrani, Tserovani, Bitsmendi, Galavani).Participants (in total 160 people) cleaned up town and village centers, roads, schools and kindergartens surrounding areas. In total, 5 ha area was cleaned up and 4 m3 (1 m3 in town and 3 m3 in the villages) were collected.

Clean Up Action in Akhalkalaki On September 19, in the framework of "Clean Up the World - Clean up Georgia" International campaign , under administration of local self-government bodies and local coordinator of the Greens Movement of Georgia was cleaned up a recreation area in Akhalkalaki so called "Tashkanka "(10 m3 of waste per 1 ha area), access road to cemetery (5m3 per 2 ha area) and adjacent areas of 3 kindergartens of the city (1,5 m3 of waste were collected per 1 ha area). Around 150 people took part in clean up activities.
